A Cup of Good Morning

How I love this coffee. Not just any coffee—this one. Exactly the way I make it: Tassimo “Morning Café Mild & Smooth,” unsweetened almond milk, and seven drops of GymQueen Tasty Drops in the butter biscuit flavour. It’s my perfect coffee, and I savour every single sip.

In general, I’m someone who likes her own creations best. Whenever I cook, my mum asks me why I put in so much effort when I’m eating alone but that’s not the point. I’m someone who truly enjoys the pleasures of life. Sorry, not sorry, but I don’t eat rubbish. My food has to taste good, or I won’t touch it, no matter how hungry I am.

Maybe it also has something to do with my love of being in control. I like holding the reins, which means I want to make sure that everything is genuinely vegan, that the seasoning is just right, and that, in the end, I have a meal I can truly enjoy. So I cook for myself exactly the way I cook for my guests, there’s no difference.

In the same way, I savour sunrises and sunsets, stop to smell flowers, watch bees and birds, pause whenever something smells wonderful, and take a moment to truly feel something.

A life of savouring—actually, that’s a beautiful motto. Far too rarely do I sit in a green meadow, leaning against a strong tree that gives me shade, while the sun kisses my skin and the wind alone sings its song.

There’s a meadow hidden in the woods—just like in Twilight, haha. When I’m there with my dog, everything is peaceful, there isn’t a cloud in the sky, just sunshine and a gentle breeze, that’s when I’m in heaven. It’s my heaven on Earth.

I hope you find a place like that too, and I wish you a beautiful, peaceful day today. One to be savoured. X
