Good morning world! I had a dream, specifically that I wanted to protect an animal from another animal. Nature can be brutal and cruel, but it’s necessary to ensure survival. It made me pause and think about how I’d love to protect every single animal, but I actually never want to interfere with nature. Yes, in the wild, a lion hunts an antelope. That’s also the exact line non-vegan people love to use to justify themselves: “A lion hunts too and eats meat.” That’s true, BUT a lion can’t cook its own tofu or go to a grocery store to buy alternatives for its cubs. You’re not from the wild. You’re a human being—highly intelligent and incredibly inventive. Eating, exploiting, and torturing animals is sooooo outdated and so boomer. I KNOW the world will look different in a few years—VEGAN—but I wanted to remind myself that it’s okay to help animals, to give them a voice and at the same time let nature take its course. Btw, we wouldn’t need hunters either if there were more wolves again, just as a side note. I wish you a wonderful day—enjoy the sunlight on your skin. Kisses X
